Where can i buy a decent replacement headphone extension cable? (1m)
My shure headphones have recently been acting up - suffering from the dreaded "one bud blowout" in the right earbud, the left seems to be fine.
This is where the benefit of having the headphones sold as a two part setup (long cable + earbud cables) headphone wires are fine, but the extension has gone squiffy near the jack.
Any idea where i can get a fairly short (pretty much all the ones on amazon and ebay are all over 1m) and most importantly good quality one? I just want a cable that won't break after a month like the ones you can buy on eBay for £2.
Any idea what brands i should look for? (normally i wouldn't care, but the cheap cables are so tacky i don't want to waste my money).

I've never had any cheap cable from Ebay break on me after 1 month. Also if its only £2 whats the problem if it does break? Just buy another one :P

Yeah but they feel really really tacky. The one that came with the phones is nice smooth rubber and feels solidly built. I bought a longer extension cable a while ago (routing audio from the back of my pc) and the cables were really thin and the sound was patchy if the cable was moved even slightly :)
And yeah, £2 is all well and cheap, but i'd rather just pay extra and get peace of mind :)

I was recommended some Cordial cables when I was on Head-Fi. I bought them from here: http://www.thomann.de/gb/cordial_cables_and_plugs.html but I must admit it's kind of hard to find stuff on that site without spending quite a bit of time browsing.

Shame this one is only 450cm
You could also try Ebay USA. Edit i'm shocked there are no good ones on Ebay really!

That's the other issue :P
Most sites assume you want to extend a hi-fi setup!
