Hi people,
I've just been running through Sair's Tax Return and it was all well and good, but the HMRC website rejected it at the last push of the button.
It was along winded error code along the lines of:
6177 SSE27 should equal (SSe20/SSe21) + (SSE25+SSE26) - (SSE22+SSE23+SSE24)
Now I'm no accountant, but it DID add up. It took ten minutes to work out which these boxes were.. as they're not coded quite like that on the return document.
ANYWAY: sorted the answer myself. When filling in the return I ALWAYS input to the nearest penny and then the website round it up or down according to their software.
BUT...
Tax allowances for vehicles and equipment (capital allowances) section allowed me to put in pence, and so it didn't add up.
INPUT this section manually to the nearest POUND and it's sorted.
