    Don't rob this jewellers

I must say that the geezers on the street who ran were a bit cowardly. I like to think that had I seen this going down I'd have roundhoused the geezers on the bikes in the face. Or at least run up and nicked the keys.

Did you see the man with a bat! Wasn't he breaking the law carrying that? He should have co-operated, opened the cases for the thieves and allowed the police to do their job. Otherwise the thieves might have hit him and killed him.

Nonsense! The Police would have turned up an hour later or the next day only to tell them that there was nothing that they could do about it only they should beef up their security, lol.

Despite the risk they took, I think they did the right thing

I reckon the bat was there for that very reason.

I want to know if the robbers really needed to smash the door down. If you look at it it gave them time to get ready.

If they were clever about it, knowing the reaction they'd get, they'd do it all again, exactly the same, only have a couple of stooges in the back ready to clear the trays when everyone goes dashing out leaving the shop empty.

Ah, the might of the chair and fire extinguisher combo. They teach that in karate class I think.

    Re: Don't rob this jewellers

He wasn't carrying the bat, it was under the counter.

There's another clip that often gets played on Police STOP! etc, of a jeweller beating a potential robber with a "ring sizer" (fnar ). Always makes me laugh.

    Re: Don't rob this jewellers

Do we need a sarcasm tag?

That wouldn't happen here, they'd be shot.

I think breaking the door was to ensure an escape route. Some jewelers have locking doors which can be activated should someone snatch something and try to run.

    Re: Don't rob this jewellers

To be fair they were pretty wussy burglars - they come in with sledgehammers and get chased out by a chair and a fire extinguisher

Though the guy with the fire extinguisher who walks out just to make sure they're gone really was inspired, especially if you don't watch the rest of the video
