I need to send a hard drive to someone but at £7.00 it seems like a fair amount. Can anyone think of a cheaper way of shipping it within the UK? 1-2kg max and the box is about half a shoe box.
Thanks guys![]()

Courier are not going to be cheaper, £7 sound like special delivery charge. 1st class would be cheaper surely?
Iv found Royal mail to be the cheapest but i cant work out what to send it as. I think it would be sent as a packet (its dimensions are 240mm long, 50mm deep and 80mm) but the way the dimensions are laid out on their site is confusing me.

Too much time in the sun methinks!![]()
The site's dead simple, either your item falls within the listed dimensions, or at least one of the dimensions is greater than a packet size. Since your item is 50mm thick, it's a packet.
Cost of 1st class postage, assuming an approximate 800g weight, is £3.25.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!

Price would crack up towards the £6-7 mark if you are nearer 2kg - could always Standard Parcel it for £4.55, though there's not a lot in it.
Could you not upload the HDD to the person over the internet![]()
