Re: How much do you download a month?

Hmm, don't know if I can answer that.
I game online (stuff like Warcraft III, but other times TF2) about 10 hours a week.
I download maybe 5gb of music a month, same in movies. Stream some videos online occassionally, not much though.
I don't know, I'll take a guess and say 30gb just to be safe .

Simply adding a leaflet in with the monthly magazine. If I hadn't heard about this elsewhere I'd have popped it in for recycling without even looking. It's "only" an extra £5 a month but I'm only going to be paying that for the additional bandwidth. My line is incapable of maintaining a stable 8Mbit connection let alone up to 20. Money grabbing sods.

I usually throw the mag straight in the bin but didn't this month, lucky I did or I'd have missed it too!

Go to O2, £7.34/month if you're an O2 customer (big IF there) & you get two months free, £50 from quidco & a free router (total £23.40 for 1year) Unlimited usage, 'upto' 8mb down, 1.3mb up.

Cracking deal which is why I've jumped from money-grabbing Sky who until now I'd be more than happy with.

O2 don't appear to be interested in our exchange, we're lucky to get Sky to be honest. Despite the outsourced robots they call customer support (if you get through to the upper, more local tier they're fine) and this aggressive capping to increase revenue, I've no complaints. If there were a viable alternative I'd jump ship, unfortunately competition doesn't extend everywhere.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Re: How much do you download a month?

on the 2nd month of my o2 contract, in a very limited area so was either 02 or bt, was on bt before and they were ****e.

my housemate does alot of downloading, i figure last month was about 300gb+.
im an existing o2 customer on mobile, pay £17 a month for 3mb, but at non peak times it hits 8mb.
its more expensive than normal because they have limited space at the local exchange.

    myself; probably 40-70gb a month

Having been with Sky & Virgin media im looking forward to moving to O2 at the end of this month! Having dealt with shoddy, arrogant & unhelpful customer service & down right crap broadband services it sounds like it will be a breathe of fresh air for us!

Re: How much do you download a month?

Well my move from Sky to O2 was yesterday, went from avg 6.5meg (max 6.9) to 7.5meg (max 8) so I'm well chuffed for the price!

O2 wireless box II interface is crap, use the SuperUser login for a bit more to tweak. comes preset using WEP 64bit so get that changed asap!

Re: How much do you download a month?

    What an open-ended question....

The graph of my monthly downloads would be all over the place. Some months (like June just gone) I may only go through less then 10GB of traffic, other months it wouldn't surprise me if I got close to 1TB.......it rarely happens but I can sometimes go through periods of queuing up to 100GB of downloads up each night. The very high capacity stuff will be made up of DVD images and HD video.

Re: How much do you download a month?

before I updates to win7rc I had a little program running that monitored this sort of thing, and excluding my games consoles (I download a lot on my wii, and get the odd thing here and there on my xbox) it was varying wildly from 4-5g a month when there wasn't much interesting me to download, to 100gpm if there was a lot to be had, or I was playing a lot of games.

Re: How much do you download a month?

Not enough here! Im limited by my meager £280GB of space (across 2 drives) I could probably fill 2TB in a month, maybe even 2 weeks if i downloaded all the stuff i wanted to.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
