    Woops...

Oh well, having one of 'those' nights...

...I bought a new watch on Tuesday, was too big for my wrist as I expected - so I took it into an independent place around Dyce (where I work) to get it adjusted, got it back today and it fits well - and I like how it looks.

It still needed a wee adjustment, so I went to make that adjustment (its one I can make, need to take a bit out and put it back in - it can be taken out with a pin), and lost the bit I took out....damn, I'll shut my door and look for it later - can't be bothered justnow, I'll go play drums.

Now, when I play drums along to music I have the music coming to me in earphones, which are covered by ear defenders - gives a decent mix too! Anyway, I take my glasses off to do this, otherwise the legs get squished which is no good. They sit on the bin next to the drumkit. I finished playing and went to pick up my glasses, but because I'm not wearing them, I mis-judge where they are and knock them to the floor and promptly proceed to stand on them. So they're bent.

Ofcourse, having to wear my prescription sunglasses around the house makes it hard to find small objects, like the one I have to find...so I'll have to get my Dad to try and find that! Hopefully tne Duncan & Todd in Dyce will be able to bend my glasses back, the lens etc is still fine, so it should be an easy fix during my lunch break tomorrow - the damage looks a lot worse than it actually is I think.

So yeah, bit of an annoying evening - but somebody might find it amusing so I thought I'd share :]

    Re: Woops...

I'm having a week like that.

I started out on Tuesday with me having to muck about with a glass cabinet at work, I'd almost finished the job, but as it was quite dark in work, and my vision in low light is pretty bad anyway, add to that its very hot and my hands are getting clammy. A work colleague was behind me and told me to be careful, well I lost concentration, and grip you can guess the rest, glass all over the shop floor.

How I never cut myself I don't know. They won't be asking me to work in that cabinet again though.

Then yesterday, I was at the top of a ladder in the warehouse, I noticed my phone was half out my pocket but didn't really think too much about it and couldn't do anything about it either as I had my hands full at the time. The next thing I know is it slips out of my pocket, bounces on every step on the ladder down and then lands screen first on the floor.

When I climb down and look at my phone I think cool, no damage (the screen was not smashed) I press a button and thats when I learn that the screen is blank, so thats one borked Sony Ericson C902.

Then later that evening my trousers rip lol what a lovely week we're both having.

    Re: Woops...

Haha, I had a week like that last year. First off was my car stereo deciding to die just as I began a long journey. 3 hours in silence which isn't my thing

Next, I managed to drop the top off the tea pot onto my favourite mug breaking it Have never been able to find another one with the perfect size handle and exactly enough liquid that doesn't require a refill every 10 minutes.

Then my car decided it needed £700 of work done to it, but then my car seems to have developed a talent for dumping big bills on me at the worst possible times.

Not to be outdone, one my external hard drives decided it wanted to be in on the party and nuked itself (thankfully it didn't have any vital data on it).

I then managed to crack one of my cymbals at band practice, that was £150 I could have done without spending.

Of course the absolute pièce de résistance, was me managing to nuke my friends doorbell for 30 minutes. Seriously, after I had pressed it, it stopped working until I had left the house. He thought this highly comical as I was a walking talking EMP for that week.

Needless to say, no one wanted me near anything electrical or otherwise that week so I just stayed inside and sat in a dark room

    Re: Woops...

Ooh, I've never worked over there...I'd take about a week to get to work every morning! I was at the Bridge of Don before, and I'm on my Uni placement at Schlumberger in Dyce.

Of course, today went well, I slept in and got into work at 1030! So I'm finishing at 1800 tonight to make up most of the time. Got my cousins 21st at 1930 too...good fun!

Ah, Schlumberger, the competition! (my dad works for Baker Hughes)

One of my friends used to live in Pitmedden and work in altens. Madness I tell you! She moved to Montrose and it took about ahlf the time to get to work!
