Re: Apollo Landing Sites Photographed by NASA

proof one way or the other is so hard, because noone else is gonna go and see it, and therefore there will always be doubt.

"If the truth can be explained in a way as to be understood, then it WILL be believed"- The Shamen Album long ago.

Thing is... and it's the reason I dont tend to get too involved up until now.... I was waiting for other space agency's to confirm the landing sites... the Chinese or Indians or someone else slightly more impartial than more NASA people.

I'd like to think "we" went to the moon and that by going there the human race would realise how simple and insignificant it is in the grand scheme of things and that as a race we'd all try to better ourselves.
As it stands "we" as a race are a bunch of asshats and going to the moon will make no difference when we've blown the living poop out of ourselves and theres nothing left but footsteps on the moon and a few chunks of rubbish.

Personally I dont care if we went or not.

I care Trig...... I'd like...no LOVE to think we did.

I just doubt it fully. Which is a shame cos if it hadn't been a big race and had been followed up in the 80s and 90's and now with more lunar landings, I'd go with it. But it hasn't and I think that's cos it's not possible yet.

    troll my arse....

I do think that we landed there. It was a technological breakthrough at the time marvelled by the fact that the rockets themselves are all made of millions of parts all manufacturered by various people, most of whom provided the lowest bid to NASA.

Also, they had redundancy over redundancy over redundancy so that if a system failed, then there was a back-up in place and so forth. Just because it was back in the day when technology wasn't as good, doesn't mean it didn't happen does it? It just means it was a great feat to land on the moon

steady old chap....if I get called a troll I'll get thick grey skin, and grow more warts and gain a weird ability to regenerate.

I know the pyramids are madly incredible....I think they're incredible.
    As is Stone Henge.

Thing is though, we only learned to fly 100 years ago....
we learned to cut bricks and move them a fair bit before then...

In the 80's I watched Formula1 cars with onboard camera's that couldn't broadcast quality images from the other side of a 3 miles race track..... they stuttered and cut out...it was still a bit rpey in the early 90's.

In 1969 we saw a bloke bounce around on the moon 285,000 miles away.

    285,000 miles away.

I have never believed that we made it there in truth.

Trolling aint really my style tbh. Thanks for thinking of it though.

Re: Apollo Landing Sites Photographed by NASA

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

The moon landings were faked on a sound stage on Venus because the peace treaty we now have with the reptilian overlords of Mars prohibits us from visiting the moon.

We wouldn't want to go to war with the martian lizards again, would we?

Edit: Whoops, sometime I should really try reading what I type.

Re: Apollo Landing Sites Photographed by NASA

Well some nice high-resolution pictures of the landing sites would be nice and all, but since every bit of weight counts for launching things into space they had a good reason not to put the required equipment on the craft, because it would likely be used for nothing but taking those photos.

I find it hard to believe that people find it hard to believe that the moon landings took place, namely because there are plenty of things that are equally ridiculous that have occured or been built in history, many of which have no evidence of how they even achieved the feats. The best part is there's a recent example:

In 1960, the Trieste (built in 1953) dived to around 10,910m to the bottom of the Challenger Deep, the deepest place on Earth, which is part of the the Mariana trench. No manned craft has ever reached a comparable depth since then, and it wasn't until 1995, with a robotic craft that anything even got down there again.

So did it happen? Did they go that deep back then if we've only just managed to get back there? After all, compared to the moon landings there's next to no fanfare, it's just as detached from everyday life as going to the moon, and even better, there's no way to corroberate the claim since there's no evidence left that they went there. They didn't take anything back either as the Trieste lacked the equipment to do so, and you could easily claim that any photos could be from anywhere under the sea.

I've never heard of any conspiracy that the deep sea dives are fake and all, but then again I only know about the dives at all because of some old books about the sea we had when I was growing up.

Zak, you and anyone else is free to believe anything you damn well please, but I think you are seriously underestimating the tenacity of the human race, or in this case, that of Wernher von Braun

Russians belive that USA got to the moon, we (im russian) had a few attempts at the moon which went badly. then we desided to concentrate on something more usefull, staying in orbit of the earth for longer periods of time. building space stations etc. SO we developed the proton rocket which is still used today to lift up the heavyest parts of the International space station as the space shuttle is not powerfull enough.

And as for stuggle to get in to orbit? what stugle we seem to be able to do it fine now. Big rocket up we go. The only reason the space shutles seem to blow up is because their operational life time has expired decades ago, they been patching them up with ducktape. Russians dont have any blow up problems atm because they are using single fire rockets. Same principle, if you buy a car thats 40 years old, how well do you think it would run (if everything was near to original). hence shutles going boom

The whole moon landing hoaxers are just massive trolls.

Can anyone think of someone with a massive array of radar dishes who could easily have proved the USA didn't land on the moon...? Maybe they're near the North Pole and were in some sort of race... like, a space race...

how can people deny it, go to the science museum it makes sense that they thought of everything, you can bounce a laser of the refelctor on the moon.

Also why on earth would the russians not get all up in arms about it?
