    Combination microwave?

After a combination microwave to reduce electric usage compared to using a regular oven. For things like pizza, chips, fish, cakes, etc.

It's got to be very simple to use, and the convection (oven) part is going to get used more than the microwave.

Smaller is better and weight is a concern if it needs moving, so not bothered if plastic instead of stainless steel.

Prefer the smaller footprint size of Panasonic model NN-A554 that is 39cm deep, but read some negative feedback about the convection part and durability of the unit.

Seen a larger unit, but the controls looks intuitive. Marks and Spence M&S 900W Combi Microwave

Anyone got opinions of these, or suggestions. They are both below £140.

    Re: Combination microwave?

Been looking at a combi for myself and like you have read a lot of negatives about the Panny microwaves, While these Sharps( 40litre and 26litre) seem to be the best of the bunch according to users on Reevoo

I have a sharp combi + grill, received as a wedding gift 8 years ago. Still going strong, only thing to note, as with all combis you need to keep on top of the cleaning.

    Re: Combination microwave?

I ordered the Panasonic on Monday for £116 from Dixons.

Considering a 3rd party extended cover (not from Dixons) incase it breaks down just outside warranty, providing I can find a cheap one. The prices I've seen so far I might as well of gone for the next microwave model up.
