What brand of water do you like!

I keep telling my mother, not to buy me Evian as it tastes really bad to me. She then says "water is water" but to me water is like juice, I'm fussy with the water I drink. My favourite brand is Volvic, It has a nice volcanic taste to it , or may be it's the minerals which contains.

Does anyone have a preference with water too? I know most people dislike tap water, but is anyone fussy with branded water?

Re: What brand of water do you like!

I wouldn't buy water, but there are tap waters in some parts of the country not to touch. Lancaster has *particularly* bad tap water. Still wouldn't buy bottled water though - I'd just drink squash instead...

Re: What brand of water do you like!

Yeah, one of the only waters I actually like to drink is Evian, can't really like anything British. Having said that, when I was on a trip to Germany/Austria/Hungary a couple of years back, I kept on ending up with fizzy water, and decided I actually liked it more, so I just buy that from the shops these days. Don't have the same problems with it tasting bad, because the bubbles almost mask the taste.

At home however, it's another matter - considering how much bottled water costs, I thought it would be a good idea to *learn to love* tap water, especially since the fridge comes with it's own drinking water tap to supply cold filtered water. And I get on with it fine - as long as it's cold, I'm happy with it, and I certainly wouldn't buy bottled water to drink at home. Sod the planet, it's primarily a complete waste of money in my eyes.

So yes, I do know what you mean, but I don't find it too hard to get past it.

    Mancunian Tap Water for me.

What's the point of paying for bottled water that has been bottled miles away from where you are and then shipped to shops etc. Surely all this transport of water, which you can get from a tap (shock horror!) is having an effect in increasing greenhouse gases.

Ban bottled water and save the environment

Oh yeah, water down south is absolutely minging I'll agree with that.

I was in Finsbury Park at a friends, and decided to get a glass of water from the tap. It was horrible compared to Manc tap water, so I ran to the shop downstairs and bought some stella to get rid of the taste in my mouth

I live like 2miles (East Ham) from a sewage works(Beckton), the one that does the whole of north of the thames. That's probably why i dislike tap water. Due to me being located not to far from it you can taste the chemicals used to clean the water.
