is it me or have memory prices jumped up hugely over the past week or so?
...damn, I was planning on buying some but looks like I could wait and save at least £25...can't belive its gone up so much...

No, they have jumped in the last couple of weeks.
Now there is a rumour that Micron have had to scrap 10 thousand wafers & you know that won't be good for prices.
" 3-3.5 million 256Mbit equivalent DRAM chips, or about 1-1.5% of global monthly capacity."

Aye, I bought 2 x 512MB Twinmos Winbond from komplett in may for about £58 each. Then it was £90 each in september, then it went down again, now its up again. I also remember going away for summer and selling my 32mb sdram hoping to get more with a bit of cash when i get back and prices would have fallen. Did they fall? Hell no. So this aint the first memory price hike.

P.S. Sorry for nicking half your post. But it fits
