Anyone Want A Free Perfect Lifestyle?

Well......in order to qualify for this, all you have to do is beat 10 shades of ****e out of a child.
Then just to make sure, let the rest of your household do the same.

Hopefully she will rot before release! (Which could be under 3 years).

I think she lacks the mental capacity to realise how lucky she is, and that her release lifestyle could be perfect.

Regretably, as long as we as people still have that Daily Mail apprechation streak, criminals will often need harbouring from a baying mob.

Now if to save every person, like some of the pedo's named by the News of the World a few years back, who it turned out where innocent, or commited statutaroy whilst they where 18, after meeting the girl in a place that only 18s could be (I have never been able to accurately age teens) or any victim of any type of miss informed justice, we have to also protect people who even with all the facts you think should rot, then so be it.

Ultimately you have to remember that our justice system is about the potential for reform, to learn from your mistakes in life. Once a person has completed their sentance, they're a free person because they've recieved a fair and just punishment for their crime.

If you don't accept this, then you're basically advocating an idea that certain crimes are unforgiveable, and who are you to decide what is and isn't unforgiveable? Personally, I'm not *happy* that she's likely to get special treatment on her release, because I fully expect the papers to out her anyway, but it's hardly surprising.

I wouldn't say three years is a fitting punishment for beating a child to death. This is speculation though on the basis that she is out on parole in 3 years. There are people that get more time inside for animal cruelty.

I agree, 3 years is no where near enough.

By definition, her sentance is fair & just, having been delivered by a judge after a trial by her peers found her guilty.

Do I agree with it? No, but of late our sentancing guidelines have been pretty lax.

You seriously think that the possibility of only 3 years in prison is a just sentence for someone that systematically abused a child, which led to the death of that child.

C'mon..............do you think she can 'reform' in 3 years.

I can rob a bank at gunpoint and get 20+ years.
    BUT
I can neglect and abuse a child literally to death though and get less than 5.

There is nothing 'just' about that.

Re: Anyone Want A Free Perfect Lifestyle?

I've just read the article, and I don't see where it says she'll be handed a dream lifestyle on a plate? As far as I can see it says she'll be given a new name and NI number, and have her appearance changed. None of that sounds particularly costly to me (given that it costs £40k+ to keep someone in prison for a year).

TBH, they should do nothing. If she is killed/maimed by a lynch mob, then they will also feel the force of the law AND it may be a much better deterant to others then a few years in prison with the promise of a make-over and fitness guru at the end of it......

Right, so having paid to lock up the child abusers, we than have to pay to lock up the vigilantes. Great.

I pay enough tax as it is. Your idea is crap.

Sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better.

The system is WAY WAY WAY to lenient at the moment and if we follow your idea to it's ultimate conclustion, we might as well scrap prisons because all they do is cost the taxpayer money.
