    Grrrrr EBUYER !!!

I want to place quite a large order with E-buyer, but I can't find my old login information, none of my email adresses are rcognised when I try to login

I can't re-register because my address is already on the system...

They don't bloody answer the phone, so how the hell do I place an order ?

    any ideas ?

You might want to check the case of the email, some of ebuyers forms are case sensitive for some bizzare reason.

its really stupid... ages ago i ordered some stuff for my dad (using his cc details and stuff like that), when i came to sign up i couldnt because the address was already registered, so basically i've modified his account as much as i can (email address, password) but everything is still addressed to him when it arrives.. useful eh *sigh*

Looks good m8 although i'd imagine ebuyer value ram is a risk.

I managed to get around re-registering my details by typing my house number in words.eg - one hundred and fourty one something street, instead of 141

Desktop? Whatever floats your boat Seriously though, if you read the comments someone moans that the PSU exhausts hot air right over the processor socket on most boards. Also it only takes 60mm fans.
    Western Digital WD400LB 40gb 7200rpm IDE Disk Drive - OEM £30.99
I heard that the 40GB WDs are pretty noisy; could be worth a google. an 80 probably wouldn't cost you a great deal more.
    Ebuyer 128MB DDR266 PC2100 Extra Value RAM x 2 £25.98
For the same price you could get 1x 256 of PC3200. I can't see any good reason to get slower, smaller modules, the 3200 will have considerably greater resale value come upgrade time.
Ebuyer IDE Cable UDMA Ultra 100/66 70 cm Long £0.70
Fine, but a round one isn't much more. Might help airflow.
PC Chips Syntax SKT A AGP Via KT266 DDR/SDR
    ATA 133 Sound/LAN/USB 2.0 Retail Box £15.88
Get the KT266A one- it's cheaper, probably better, and you don't need SDR sockets (I assume). Better still, get the PC chips SIS 748 board; it's about 25 inc vat and is reputedly a very good board. The SIS chipset is surprisingly speedy, and supports 200FSB CPUs. With the PC3200 RAM, you may well be able to up the Duron 1.6 to a 166FSB for 2GHz.
    Speeze EEA01B2 Hawkstream AMD CPU Cooler - Xp2100+ £4.47
Irritatingly they seem to have stopped stocking the excellent Coolermaster X-Dream. Might be worth seeing if you can grab one from somewhere else, for the money they're superb.
Hightech ATI Radeon 7000 64MB DDR Memory TV-Out Retail £20.26
Yuk! If you want to buy new it'll do, but a secondhand 8500 or GF2/3 would be much nicer.

    The rest is fine.

    Rich :¬)

Gotta be Desktop I'm afraid Rave, yeah I know, I hate them too, but thats what he wants...

    The memory - good idea

video card - I figure whatever I can get in that budget, its not going to be great, for games the user is going to be a 4yr old kid, anything suitable for his age is going to be pretty un-demanding tbh
