Hi everyone, I'd be real grateful for your advice. I'm trying to explain what fraud is but I'm stuck. Can anyone help? What is fraud?

Clunk my good man you are my brother in arms, this is EXACTLY (in all absolute form) what I was gonna do and went to wiki (ugh) to see that photo wanted to be sarcy and post it but thought better of it. No words will fully express the joy I am now experiencing.
have I missed something? Is it open season on new members today?
C'mon guys - it's a reasonable question - even if there are other sources that might be more appropriate!
Nah, I've got a fiver that says it's a bot
"Free speech includes not only the inoffensive but the irritating, the contentious, the eccentric, the heretical, the unwelcome and the provocative provided it does not tend to provoke violence. Freedom only to speak inoffensively is not worth having."
until we know it's a bot, you should be nicer and more helpful. Please

Do we have any lawyers in this forum? I'd imagine they could explain it rather well
I just thought I'd add to my rather useless post before, I apologise but needed a laugh and well Clunk gave. Anyway my actual reponse would be to elaborate on the question, I'm pretty sure most people know what fraud is as a concept and seeing as this is the internet there were a large number of research methods at hand. If they wanted to know about a specific aspect of fraud then I would be happy to help but we need details just as someone who asks for directions they need to say where they are going first.
The online Oxford Dictionary says;
fraud
/frawd/
• noun
1) wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.
2) a person intending or thing intended to deceive.
— DERIVATIVES fraudster noun.
— ORIGIN Old French fraude, from Latin fraus ‘deceit, injury’.
My head is hung
Selling someone a parrot, and claiming that its a parrot, a living breathing parrot, when it turns out to be a dead parrot, or even an ex parrot, would be considered fraud.
Or....
discounting a holiday to sell car hire, and presenting the customer with a price for the whole package, and not informing the customer that their holiday actually was cheaper and the car hire was the same price, therefore discounting one product to sell a 3rd party product, could be considered fraudulent, resulting in a 3 week paid suspension and investigation, result of which you are completely cleared of all wrongdoing, reinstated and given extra responsibilities right before they close down your call centre...
sorry, did i go off on a tangent there?
anyways, it wasn't fraud, so there
