    What a great day....BAD night :(

Well, I'm just going to rant here as i'm still fuming!!!!

I've had a lovely day, out in Edinburgh with my wife & son, nice coffee then a wander around the shops & Princes Street gardens = lovely day

Then we got home, put my little 'un to bed then I decided to replace my iPhone earpiece that was faulty as I got the bits in the post today (can you see it coming?)

Opened it up fine, there are no guides on the net regarding the earpiece so I got to the stage of taking the LCD apart from the glass front, gently started to prise them apart then *click* 'that sounds promising' I thought, then I turned the phone over, big bleeding crack in the LCD.... in my head I went mental but I just sighed and swore for a few minutes...so I've had to buy a new LCD...then I decided to replace the earpiece as I had intended to, guess what? you don't need to seperate the LCD to get to the earpiece AAAAAGGGGHHHH!

So i decide to use my wifes old SE K810i, put my SIM in, started it up..wife comes in with a glass of wine & spills it all over it!.....It's working, thank-god..you know when you just have one of those days you want to scream?!

Rant over...I feel sad, I have no decent phone until the LCD arrives sometime next week (screen is washed out & barely readable), I am now drinking beer, eating chocolate & am going to shoot some things on my 360 later tonight

Oh dear, that's not good hope you manage to repair it without hindrance.

That reminds me of when I managed to drop a full jar of mango chutney on my beloved Samsung E900 lol It was charging on the kitchen worktop, and I opened the cupboard door, which was directly above it and stuffed full of jars! one fell out and that was that...... I've also lost at least two, within a week of purchase, and one has been eaten by the dog. My track record with phones is not good.

I've had my latest - Nokia 6600 slide - a week, and so far so good lol *touches wood*

I remember when i dropped by D900 in the bath - damn that was top notch phone
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

You didn't find out that the beer is out of date, that the chocolate was for diabetics and had no sugar or taste and worst of all your 360 decided to light up red and glow from the RROD did you ?

If you did, that would have been a really bad night lol

When you say a faulty earpiece in the iphone, do you mean that it's very quiet, even on full volume as I think mines starting to show this feature now lol

Bring back my N95 - all is forgiven

    Re: What a great day....BAD night :(

Beer was fine, choc was ok & nothing was spilt on the 360!

LCD has been posted out now so I'll get it in a couple of days

The earpiece kept buzzing on certain words/noise (eg music) when in calls or on hold, as if it had 'blown'.
Sounded like it could have been dust but it wasn't as I'd blown it out to clear it.

The new one works fine so it was definately that, very easy to replace (now I know how to!) & they only cost about £2 for the part

Moral of the story, the LCD has a very thin lip around the edge which you need to use to pop it from the glass font, otherwise all the pressure is on the screen itself and..well, you know the rest
