Yes I have seen it. I was very impressed easily the best SciFi film I have seen this year. While I don't want to give anything away for people who have not seen the film. Seeing what has happen I am kind of worried what will happen if they make a 2, as there are burning questions I would really like answered, and what the response will be.

I've just seen the trailer, as up until I read this thread, I hadn't heard of it. Looks like a damn good film, will have to keep a look out for that one

I thought that film was terrible

I wouldn't have paid to see it but I was shafted by the mystery movie monday at Odeon when it was a new release.

When did this film come out? I saw some trailers awhile back it looked great. I just checked vue and its only on in the west end.... not even shown in plymouth or anywhere else! So is that because its to new or the opposite?

Its out on 04/09/2009 in the UK, preview screenings will be at a limited number of cinemas on the thursday fingers crossed its on at the Vue or Odeon in Basingstoke! I imagine the Vue website just needs updating, by this Friday I'd have thought showings will be up for other cinemas.

    Re: OMG District 9

Neill Blomkamp did an incredible job one of his first full length films, and Peter Jackson producer has amazing abilities expect to see many more $30 million lower budget films produces with the revenue sector 9 will be a catalyst, just hope they will hold up quality. when major block busters $100 million budget (and that doesn't include the marketing!). Jerusalema another movie just saw 2 mill budjet great flic.
