Father's fury over children's 'pornographic' sweet wrappers

A father-of-two has spoken of his disgust after spotting fruity cartoon characters appearing to have sex on SWEET wrappers.

Simon Simpkins was buying Haribo MAOAM sour candies for his children when he noticed the 'pornographic' illustrations of limes, lemons and cherries romping with each other.

Mr Simpkins, of Pontefract, West Yorkshire, said: 'The lemon and lime are locked in what appears to be a carnal encounter.

'The lime, whom I assume to be the gentleman in this coupling, has a particularly lurid expression on his face.'

He said: 'I demanded to see the shop manager and, during a heated exchange, my wife became quite distressed and had to sit down in the car park.'

A spokesman for Haribo said the 'fun' packaging of the sweets was introduced in Germany 2002 and added: 'This jovial MAOAM man is very popular with fans, both young and old.'

Only now its been pointed out, before they looked perfectly harmless to me, I feel sad for people who see bad images everywhere, the world must be such a dark place. Since when did fruit have genitals anyway? or faces for that matter! I expect the answer is... there is no fruit in it anyway.

I can understand his concern I suppose, but what I don't understand is why he got into a heated debate with the shop-manager, who has absolutely nothing to do with the design. That and the only reason his wife would become distressed is probably over her husband being a prat and no doubt embarrassing her!

Most people that complain about such things only do so because they dont want to have to explain things when their kids ask.

Why did he get into a "heated debate", because hes obviously that sort of person, one that lacks sense and reason.

And yes, youre probably right about his wife.

Excessive reading of this absimal excuse of a news source might turn you in to the kind of person who takes something that can, under extreme anthrapramorphic view point be turned into prono as something that is worth having a heated argument over, to the point your wife has to leave you, and your kids surely become tramuatised.
