I have, for many many years, tried very hard to "enjoy" Oasis.

I've tried SOOO hard.. sooo many people can't be wrong, can they?

The only album I can manage to listen to from end to end is Standing on the Shoulders of Giants.

And that's... 4/10 for me.

But the rest... bloody hell

I mean...."Definately Maybe"... what a pile of horse pooh

And I SO WANT TO LIKE IT... but I can't. It makes no sense to me... it's drivvel.

Am I alone?

Never been an Oasis fan per-se, liked the first two albums tho, thought they were OK.

Anyone who can take lyrics from "You and Me" and even the New Seekers and claim them as their own isn't so impressive... IMHO

What's the story? is a cracking album, I can still enjoy that that from start to finish. Definitely maybe was just OK, the rest of the albums have occasional great tracks but a lot of samey filler tracks, so yeah, pants.

The first 2 albums were their defining moment.

After that, they went downhill from there really. Maybe Liam and Noel spent too much time and energy on arguing with each other, local football teams and other celebs. Maybe they were under the influence of some good gear for the first 2 albums and then after that cleaned up a bit, or took more... Who knows?

The only folks that know why, are Liam and Noel and the rest of Oasis.

Oh and rock and roll star is absolutely stonking. Especially on Rock Band

I am like you Zak even though I watched them live it was more becuase my mates liked them more than I do but I don't think their bad. think its more of a Machester thing to be honest.

Never liked them, I'm afraid. When I heard how off key Liam's voice was in Wonderwall it annoyed me and I never got past that... Hearing them as people in interviews has also put me off though a mate of mine's met Liam and said he was very pleasant indeed.

I only like You Know What I Mean? by them to be honest. I'm still a bit bewildered by how popular they are.

I'm an Oasis hater......just something about the music makes it sound more samey from track-to-track then techno or trance does!

Liam/Noel sound really whiney when they sing as well....

I was even offered to go to Wembly a few weeks ago to see them for free with freinds and declined......glad I did as well as I would only have gone to see Kasabian (warm up act) and they only played a few songs supposedly....and I'd just seen them at Glasto
