    The time travel table.

    You wake up in a brightly lit room, in the middle of which is a round white table with six chairs. Morgan Freeman walks in through one of the walls and in a beautifully worded speech tells you that this table is able to teleport people through time and space.

    So, Morgan Freeman says in his godlike voice, you'll be having dinner with five other people tonight. Mrs. Julia Childs will be preparing the main course tonight, hopefully it will be to your liking. All that is required of you is to choose your dinner guests. Due to power constraints, two of them have to be alive from your time.

    He pulls out your chair and awaits your list. You better not keep Morgan Freeman waiting.

    I wouldn't want anyone famous to be honest, I'd use it to bring back old friends at the point when they liked me the most. Seem to loose friends kinda quickly

    Re: The time travel table.

    My mind always goes a blank when asked this sort of thing, so off the top of my head this evening & by no means definitive, I'll go;

    Bill Bailey
    Clive James
    John Peel
    Brian Sewell
    Norman Wisdom

    Failing that I'd round up a selection of my great-grandparents & give them a really bad dinner & a slap for ever getting together & mixing up their dodgy genes.

    Hitler and other assorted bastards (before they had the chance to do their most dire deeds) so that I could slip something in their food / wine to off them
