    9/11 documentary

Wondered who else had watched (or re-watched if you've seen it on satellite &c) the real-time documentary last night. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/1...ed-america/4od
First time it struck me, for some reason, this being the 8th anniversary approaching, that some of the younger members of hexus would have just been children, around 10-12 up. Also been reading over this thread of people's where-was-I accounts, from before I was a member here. http://forums.hexus.net/general-disc...niversary.html

    I watched it.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."

    Re: 9/11 documentary

A very chilling but gripping documentary - can't believe new, first-hand footage is still surfacing.

Just a shame about the adverts every 10/15 minutes. Think I heard ITV stopped all adverts during 'United 93' the other night, shame C4 didn't do something similar.

    i was 9
my sister was 1 day old..
it feels like it was only basically yesterday.
it was REALLY horrible watching some of the videos of people leaping from the building, i can't imagine being in a situation where jumping from the 100th floor is even considered.

I watched it, didn't mean to - but found it rather compelling viewing and ended up watching the lot.

    Re: 9/11 documentary

We were in Egypt at the time, without any TV due to our satelitte being broken, we went around to our Uncles house over there, and he told us that planes had attacked a few buildings in America and one tried to go into the White House, well as you can imagine...

We laughed at him and said you are joking etc (propaganda over there is funny)..

Then he turned on the TV, and we was all pretty shocked at what we saw.

    Re: 9/11 documentary

I was leaving school (must have been 14/15) and walking through the school bus park and all the bus drivers were huddled around one of the coaches listening intently. I thought it was a bit odd as a lot of them are from rival companies/dont really mix but I didn't think anything else of it until i got home & found my mum (in tears) in front of the TV. The first plane had hit only a few mins before i was walking to the buses.

Even now it shakes me quite badly.

    Re: 9/11 documentary

I was going out with an American girl at the time and we spotted a crowd around an electrical shop watching the tvs. First we thought it was a film but then we realised it wasn't..

Horrible. It turned out that a friend of a friend was onboard one of the planes too.

Living in a hostel in Canberra at the time. Saw the second plane hit.
How quickly we forget how shocking it was. I watched the documentary as well.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Like everyone else just flicked onto it without realising it was on and ended up watching the hole thing.

    Re: 9/11 documentary

I commented to my girlfriend that the adverts were a bit over the top every 15 mins.

It was a really good and I was glued to the screen, but there is some footage of the planes actually crashing into the towers, which they presumably chose not to include.
