    Jury Service, sigh!

I've been on two jury's in the past two weeks (what's the chance out of a panel of 175 people), one trial lasting for only a day and this current lasting all week and into part of next week. Today I was in court for 22 minutes, what a way to spend my time on the 50 mile round trip. Arrive to court and hear that there is no evidence to be heard then sent packing!
Gah its like I have nothing better to do with my time, on the plus side I get to listen to Chris Moyles in the morning which is rather enjoyable.

Surely there are other ways to listen to Moyles without having to do jury service?

Not really, I start work at 7 every day and its only a 10min drive to work. Takes a good hour to get to court though

Jury service must be one the single most tedious dull and irratatingly pointless things I have ever had to do.

I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy!

    Re: Jury Service, sigh!

I do get my expenses paid, since I work shifts I get my shift covered, so if I'm only in court for an hour I don't need to go back to work.
£0.34 per mile petrol, its a 50mile round trip so it kinda adds up (:

And yes, it is the most tedious thing ever.
