Farting, is it funny, or offensive?

Do farts make you chuckle? Or do they make you run from the room as you have no desire to inhale someone else's airborne intestinal detritus?

How long before somebody brings gender into the equation?

I always liked that theory that the best way to know if you and your partner are totally comfortable with each other is for one to fart in the other's vicinity and see if either of you get embarassed.

For the record, it's pretty funny, just always remember *time and place*.

In all honesty I can't see what the issue with breaking wind.

Everyone who is human generates gases in their digestive system which need to be expelled from the body in some way or another.

Anyone who says they don't fart is either an alien, dead or lying out of their teeth.

Unfortunately I have an other half who does it in his sleep... then looks at me shocked when I mention it... It's a good defence!

Farts are funny... they make funny noises... and we can't help it. (obviously there is a time and a place...)

1991, 500+ people in the school hall, I'm sat on the balcony, not feeling all that great, on a wooden church pew.

I know, I think to myself, I'll squeeze a trump out to lighten the pressure on my dodgy guts.

Little did I know the organ had stopped playing, the headmaster was walking up the aisle to the front of the hall and everyone was very, very quiet.

Imagine the sound of someone dropping a pile of books in a church and the echo that would produce...you're halfway there.

I have days where my digestive systems issues I've have make my rear end sound like an Orchestra.

Booming, Squeeky and silent... you name it, they all come flying out if I've not adjusted my medication

Our student house has become somewhat lax about the rules of farting. If its long/loud then its ok if its really smelly then its ok because its funny but if its one of those which isnt too smelly just annoying then thats not too good.

Womens farts are the worst on average I'd say. Men fart more but women seem to have horrible farts.

Nothing like a bit of a dutch oven for a romantic evening.

I think women just try and hold on to them longer and time when they let them out.


Could you imagine letting rip on the ISS? Zero-grav and in a confined space......I don't know if I would be able to hold it together...
