you do realise that this is a public forum and by saying you havent changed your pw at all....
... nothing is likely to happen unless your username is exactly the same as your email. I am pretty sure that most email these days place restriction on the length of the username and vti is probably too short.

Got a big problem
Changed my dad's hotmail password no problem. But when I went to change my mum's password it said I had the wrong one. But its the only password I had written own. Tried another one nothing so tried the one written down and again no luck. Then logged out tried to get back in and it won't let me!!!
Did the forgot password thing but can't remember the secret answer!! I can send an email password reset but and change it to send to my address.
What can I do??? Is there a number i can ring???
Been to the windowslivehelp.com site to fill in some form to get a password reset sent to another account.
Anyone else been down this road before?????
Can't believe this has happened to me
It's not only Windows Live Hotmail accounts, it Yahoo & G-Mail too.
Pretty sure it wasn't "hacked" just phished.
wish i had not bothered now Can't understand how it kept saying the password was wrong!! Had the password written down on paper.........................
Wish the hotmail team would send me a reply to reset the password!!!!
eidt: really stressing out about this now, anyone else had to fill in the help form and wait for an email?

Surely your mum would know it, and if she doesn't, then is it really that big a deal if you lose a defunct account?
IIRC, inactive Hotmail accounts get disabled after a period btw.
she has changed the password, she has things she doesn't want prying eyes to see

Finally got back in!!!! Hotmail decided to ignore the correct password for some reason. Set a new password all works now!
