throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
I was a bit concerned about this at first - mainly about Hotmail's security scheme. I mean passwords aren't supposed to be viewable (ie a hash is stored, not the password in plaintext), that's why you can't recover them for most online services...
Apparently though it's just a phishing scam where people have just given their passwords away so I'm safe right? Or should I change it anyway?
Edit: NVM I changed it anyway since it's unclear what caused this. If it was Hotmail's fault they should be ashamed of themselves (although they are part of MS...). Luckily I don't use my hotmail account for much. Are XBL account passwords at risk also, does anyone know?

I think I've been got, but for the life of me I don't know how.
Seriously.
My HTPC: Linky
Well, I noticed that I couldn't log onto my main hotmail account with my normal passowrd. I didn't think much about it, as fortunately, I have it "linked" to my secondary hotmail account (one for work) and was able to get in that way to check my messages. It wasn't linked the other way, so secondary was safe, and getting in through the link to the first account, I changed the passwords.
I have no idea where they got my password from, though. I've not responded to ANY Nigerian lawyers recently. And I browse only the most respectable pron.

Not sure if this has been posted, but you can check if you was phished here.
Hmm looks a bit dodgy to me. It could be legit but then again a spammer could have found a golden opportunity to get people to post valid email addresses for them to spam...
It's not dodgy at all, clicky.
Hmm fair enough but it's best to be safe eh? Not very nice of him to refer to them as 'ignorant' though - more wise I'd say!
that website is slightly useless, i for a test put in a completely fake email (as far as im aware) in to it that begun with a "A" and it said it was hacked
aa22@hotmail.com was what i found to be hacked.
does it just recognice if it begins with a or b and says hacked?
That's a possibility....
Either that or he's programmed it back to front so it says hacked instead of not hacked and vice-versa
It's not Hotmail's fault, nor Microsofts, nor Googles etc etc
It is users who do not change their passwords, do not set secure passwords and are too willing to release their details in a trusting manner.
It wasn't just Hotmail but ALL major webmail sites that were affected

I swaer alot of it is also down to these "Check to see who has blocked you from MSN" sites, the amount of troulbe they caused me a year or so back when they slipped in a trojan into the MSN client as soon as they were used was maddening to say the least.
If you really feel the need to check and see if someone has blocked you, you really are very insecure indeed.
Yeah I thought so - I thought at first though that it might have been a security breech or something.
