Cool Just got back from CTS

I have just got in with a mere 145 photo's from CTS2004 - it was a good day.

I didn't see HEXUS's very down David (I guess he saw me first,) but I had a good chat with lots of the important people. I also paraded around the Intel stand with an AMD Operon branded bag, hehe.

    So, who else went?
    PHP Code:

    Too right!

On the subject of wetware, there was this:

    http://www.quietpc.com/uk/watercooling.php#reserator

It looked very impressive, me think's I'll be getting a sample of that!

    Pics you say? where

The zalman resator thingy is crap. Anyone considering it I suggest getting proper watercooling parts as a minimum and wait for the passive to be made available seperatly. the rad is infact also crap and one could be made much nicer for 1/10th of what they would charge for it seperatly. see this thread and look at his rad. Note that he is using it PASSIVE with THREE LARGE TEC's one of which puts out more heat than a normal rig, and then his has that to disipate aswell ontop of the TECs. A much smaller (and much neater/nicer looking/more efective) design could be done. It would apear he wanted his to look/be like that and it is definatly a work of art, of some kind
Any one want a passive rad like that I would be happy to make one....

I went last year - they had a company there called Pinnacle Telecom or something, basically there was a large stand with a Dodge Viper in their yellow/black company colourscheme, and about 5 girls wearing the shortest of skirts and little yellow T-shirts

I spent quite a long time at that stand...

indeed there was!! - some "modded" hardware on a few of them if i'm not mistaken

aside from the scantily clad ladies, i was intrigued by the jetway 2 user barebone system & spent a good few mins trying to get them to let me have a peek inside the case (to no avail unfortunately) - bit of a gimmick, but then i'm a sucker for most shiny new gimmicks

other than that, came away with a handful of AMD biros & a few free beers off the Trust stand, had an interesting chat with a few of the microsoft dudes about OEM software & their new partner programme, and spotted the lads from my local hardware shop (opal computers) on their own stand so obviously stopped for a chat with them - all in all it certainly beat going to work for the day
if it ain't broke...fix it till it is
