    Warranty issue little help.

My EVGA 285 FTW has had to go to RMA at ocuk, they have offered me a free upgrade to a ASUS or Point of view 295 but as both have a limited warranty of about 2yrs i thought this was unfair as EVGA come`s with a 10yr warranty.
They have one EVGA 295 in stock at £20 over the cost of the other two card`s and i have said i will pay the £20 out of my pocket to cover the extra, this email has just been sent with the offer,by what EVGA have said the 285 FTW is out of stock on both US and Europe sites so this looks like its going to drag out for a long time.

I have imformed ocuk that i will be sending them a web note at the start of everyday to see if there is any update`s

What i want to know is there a limt to how long this should take to sort out as my warranty with the shop is running out and would like to have some with the new card they send back incase i have any problems with it.

    Thanks .

Sorry, just to clarify, did you say that you've been offered a 295 as a replacement for a 285, but you think it's unfair because the warranty isn't as long?

TBH, considering it's OcUk and they are offering a FREE upgrade, I would take it before they revert to their usual "try and screw the customer over" policy.

    Re: Warranty issue little help.

You could try and get them to throw in something to cover the warranty discrepancy. It's unlikely though, seeing as you're already getting a massive bonus.
