I did have plenty other words I could of used but the forum won't allow them Also regardless of what word I may of used this guy is still severely thick in the old brain department, not only is he moaning but he then goes and tells a major news outlet exactly what he has copied xD
Steam: (Grey_Mata) || Hexus Trust
Ye know, if they ever want to prosecute anyone, they should just go after this guy. No chance of mistaking it for a grand-ma who does not even know what an Xbox360 is, let alone own one, get it chipped and download games for it (before publicly complaining and confessing what he's done).
I totally agree about the section in bold
I have noted before how many people who so called pirate pc games acually pay for the product but cant get it to work because there drive firmware needs updating or the anti piracy stuff doesnt work with their antivirus software. In the end those people download the pirate version because it works.
drm, rootkits and annoying messages you cant skip only affects people who have paid for the product..
I mainly do console gaming so i can avoid the crap that games install these days..
It is annoying how many people think its not stealing because its not a psyical product.
Ive tryed so many times to explain to people that if you pirate something then the product just stays
on the shelf or in the warehouse so they havent sold it so it is stealing but some people just dont listen. the other stupid comment something came up recently was something like this: well someone brought the CD and then put it online for anyone to download so its not stealing...
I try to tailor the idea to the persons job to try to tell them how it is stealing.
For once I like what Microsoft has done.
I hope it serves as a warning to other gamers who pirate games.
banning the console was a stroke of genius.
At the least all the pirated games should be taken away.

I really hate the "£50 is just too much" crap. Yes, £50 is quite a lot of money to a 16 year old... but let's say you get 50 hours of entertainment from that £50, which is a pretty conservative estimate for some games. So, that's £1 per hour, which seems like a pretty good deal to me. I've certainly had games that work out at about 25 pence per hour.
If you're playing games every evening and all weekend, then things will get expensive - in the same way as if you spent all that time down the pub, or got yourself a crack habit.
Maybe charging by the hour would be a better thing to do in the future?
Come on games dont cost £50, if you are paying £50 for a regular edition then you are a muppet as lots of places online do them for less. If there is an expensive game out you want wait a while it will come down in price or even a used copy on eBay. Still the same game. What ever happened to borrowing games? Rent them then for a while. There are plenty of options rather than pirating.
Well, I guess I was objecting to the "you just give them your bank details and tell them to help themselves" bit. Which is clearly ridiculous.
So, people enjoy having a pint down the pub at £3 a pop. A pint lasts about half and hour, then you go play the quiz machine: bang goes £3 in 10 minutes. Then the table football - oh, thats £1 for 5 minutes. Then you go watch a football match: £40 for 90 minutes. Then a post-footbal-match curry: well, that's about £20 for about 2 hours.
See what I mean? Even reading a book is about £10 for ~20 hours - that's 50p per hour.
And let's face it, I'm pretty sure you can rent Xbox games if you really want to. At least, you could certainly rent Xbox version 1 games. That's really really cheap per hour of entertainment.
Hence: WTF.
I've no idea even what MW2 is. Regardless, what can be bad about paying per hour - or even by the minute. If a game is crap, you may only pay 10 pence before realising it's rubbish - rather than £30 straight downpayment. If it's great, then why don't the developers deserve to be paid 25p per hour? Or even 50p per hour?
Do you really think that is expensive? I think it's incredibly cheap.
should people that HAVE live pay more for the same gave since they will be getting more "content"? even if the content is, to use your previous analogy, like reading the same page in a book over and over with a few of the words altered?

Well, I don't think that was my previous analogy at all. I am talking about pence per hour of entertainment. I have no idea what you are talking about.
Look:
£50 is a lot for a DUFF game.
For a good game, £50 is the bargain of a lifetime.
So: if you can avoid paying £50 for the duff games, but 10 pence instead (it doesn't take long to realise a game is crap), then you are onto a winner. Hence: why not pay per hour of entertainment? And if you are really sure you love the game, then you can pay a "lifetime usage" for £50. Does this not make sense to you? In essence, it's a "Try before you buy" scheme, but with an infinite usage policy if you know that you are going to play for 100+ hours.
It makes a lot of sense to me, at least. I have certainly spent £20+ quid on games I've realised are rubbish in 2 hours or so. An expensive mistake.
if i drink faster should I pay less for a pint? i would vote for you

Sounds good
And yes - it means you'll probably buy another pint more quickly, no? Is this not the same as the bulk discount offers from e-tailers, etc?
Edit: I really must become prime-minister some day.
Edit^2: Damn my useless understanding of politics. It seems I must go through some crazy voting system to become ultimate overlord of the UK. What kind of crazy system is this?
