its getting a bit south parkish now lol
Did anyone hear about the story a while back where a US hiker got stuck in the mountains with his arm trapped by a boulder?
Well, having waited around for some help, he got a bit bored, so he got his penknife out and started having a go at the boulder, chipping away. Didn't do much though - as you might expect, and he couldn't move it, so now with frustration to add to his boredom he thought it might be an idea to chop his own arm off.
So taking up his penknife again, he commenced upon his new interest in emergency surgery. Unfortunately, having spent a while chipping away at the boulder, his knife was now blunt, and according to him, he had a really hard time breaking the skin. He eventually managed though, and after hacking away at the tissue, found he couldn't quite get throught the bone. Bummer.
Well, not letting that stop him, he managed to twist and bend his bone enough to break it off, and now with new found freedom he applied a tourniquet and proceeded down the mountain, hiked for a bit, and then found someone who was nice enough to get him to hospital.
How's that for well 'ard?
Apparently there are a few stories like that - amazing what you'll do when you're bored out of your brains - and in danger of your life.
Yep that beats getting my front teeth knocked out. I have new ones now :D
yeah, i heard about that hiker guy, you failed to mention he was there 3 days aswell before deciding to do it, his arm was already broken too, i remember seeing it on the news, he cut it off halfway down his humerous, and trust me, i've broke that bone. It hurts!!! (haha, just reminds me, i had snapped it and had it facing more or less backwards. i remember lying on a trolley ready ti go in and have it x-rayed at the hospital and i looked at my x-ray card they'd given me and it said "Humerous deformity" on it. Couldn't help pissing myself at the irony.)
