Photo number 26 - awesome....
The thing I always liked about astro-photography is the way that despite the subject matter appearing utterly alien, there is always something there that the brain latches onto in order to create a connection between you and the image. In some photographs it can be pretty obvious to everyone, e.g. the soap bubble nebula in these photographs. Other times it can be something individual... like the odd face in one of the galaxies in picture 17.
We may be an insignificant spec in the vastness of the cosmos, but our very existence is intrinsically bound to the laws that have governed its creation. So in a way we are all part of something universal.
If Wisdom is the coordination of "knowledge and experience" and its deliberate use to improve well being then how come "Ignorance is bliss"
Great to see results .
There's something mesmerising about space. I have no real interest in science apart from physics ( that is related to space) and astronomy. Photos of space are just beautiful, completely tranquil but at the same time some of the most forceful images a human being could ever see.
It makes me think how far humanity has come to be able to send objects to other planets and for them to be able to beam data back to us, and to get stunning images back. Despite the problems humans cause, images like these just show how amazing human achievements can be.
There's an app called http://nightskylive.net/software/apod/ should do the job
Couldnt get that one to work, ended up installing this one

works fine win7 64
And that's why my desktop background is always one of NASA's efforts.
