It looks like at least some good is coming from it, Neon. A sorry affair all round, really.

Well guys another update as it has been some time.
The woman in question appeared in court and to be honest the Judge cut the woman to bits.
She received a 6 month suspended sentence and has been ordered to repay all the money.
So my mum is happy with the outcome. There was also a huge write up in the local papers about it because they had previously wrote how she was mugged etc.
This time they told what really happened.
So yea all good

Excellent - ood to hear the Criminal Justice System working as it should. Just hope that your Mum gets the money back rapidly - and not in dribs and drabs.

Dont think my mum is too worried about the money anymore. She is just glad that the woman was held to account for what she done.

Nice one, neon. And kudos to your mum for sticking with it. If she gets her money back, so much the better, but it is really nice to hear something like this turning into a result in any event. And I have to say, I wouldn't have bet on it getting this far. I thought it was a long shot, but sometimes, long shots come off .
Congrats.

Its nice to hear about the criminal justice system actually working properly for once. Good result for your mother and hopefully she eventually gets her money back.

As others have mentioned, good to hear that a result was gained from this
