I remember hitting 1k, and it only seems like I joined yesterday (if I had joined yesterday, then I would have deserved some some sort of spamming award for getting to my current post count in 24hours - OK now I'm just dreaming.)

a post count league table was done a while ago, i came 2nd or third iirc, had the forums not been restarted i'd have been up around 7k by now though which is slightly worrying
having league tables and what not leads to people spamming to get to the top and thats BAD.
Remember guys we prefer quality rather than quantity, you don't have to have a high post count to be a valued member!

Been on too many boards were it was all "ooh, I've made 10 posts! Look at me!", and the same with 50, 100, 500, 1000, etc etc *vomits*

That's about right. I think the lack of league table but leaving in the post count in your profile and posts is the right balance. It avoids major spamming, but lets people know how much you have contributed.having league tables and what not leads to people spamming to get to the top and thats BAD.
