    Lightbulb In the genes?

Okay, a curious thought just appeared in my brain.

Obviously, sites/forums like these attract people who share at least one common interest - in this case, computers/technology. However, taking a look around a few of the other threads, it appears a lot of us have more in common that that.

So I got to thinking and was wondering if people with similar qualities/characteristics, as well one interest, therefore are attracted to other similiar interests. ???

So, if you're game, how about we all supply some info on ourselves, and then see where we 'overlap'.

Not too sure how to do this, so here goes:

    Age: 23
    Gender: Male

Pets:Two dogs - Sheltie and Akita Mix

Hobbies: Tropical fish, sharks, travel, singing, tinwhistle, dancing, gaming - video and board.

Sports: Running, Basketball, Diving/Snorkelling, Footie, Climbing, Working out, Rugby.

Occupation: Radio Announcer, Operator and Producer.

Religious/Faith? - Yes, follower of Christ.

    EDIT

Political Stance - Generally just right of centre. RW for moral, societal issues, and center, perhaps left, on economic issues. But it varies.

Okay, well I included past and present, but those most significant (for example, haven't had fish in ages, but was big into them, and will get some when circumstances allow).
Add any other categories as you go. If this takes off, I'll keep tabs and record the stats.

hobbies - gaming, playing guitar, other general teenage stuff

Sports - is pool a sport?

    Occupation - un-employed atm

Religious - No, religion has caused faaar to many problems to be worth it, people should get over they're fear of un-certanty which is imo the root of most religions and the world would be a far better place.

note, my views on religion are my own and not meant to offend anyone who takes religion seriously

    Gender - Male

    Pets - brother

hobbies - mountain bikes, skating, pub, wacky-tobaccy in abundance, cars

Sports - occasional knock-about of footy with mates, used to play rugby for school, hockey and cricket for teams, and those two mentioned above.

Occupation - fish n chip shop

Religious - Not at all. mom put me off religion by making me go to church when i was little, even though it was and still is all meaningless to me, even back then. i spose if i was forced to chose a religion one at gunpoint, i'd probably take up Budhism.

    *EDIT*
Political Stance = v. left wing. anarchistic and socialist ideals and views.

    Gender: Male.

Pets: 1 Doberman of the utmost breeding and pedigree, by the name of Sarge.

Hobbies: Gaming (PC \ Console), Football (The watching of, big Everton fan), Doberman breeding, writing, spending amazing amounts of cash on ever more powerful gaming rigs.

    Sports: The beautiful game.

    Occupation: Currently (briefly) unemployed.

Religious: No. I loathe all organised religion. It is something that very much belongs in the past. (In my opinion, of course)

Good thread by the way, but may I add a single further question?

    Political Stand-Point: Right Wing. Conservative.

I think that's worth knowing. I tend to find myself very much the opposite of the stereotype for some of the things I am interested in, or that I mix supposedly different styles of geek \ yob stuff, without being either.

I like football, curries and girls, for instance, but also PC gaming, Chess, and science \ History books. I manage to do this without being a Burberry cap wearing yob, or a PC 'glasses and unfashionable trousers' geek.

Sports: American Football (although haven't played since Uni), Motorbiking.

    Occupation: Unemployed.

Religious/Faith? - No, could probably do with a little faith.

Political Stand-Point: Been called a Liberal a few times, but in all honesty I've completly lost all hope when it comes to politics and politicians.

Same as what Zaul said about stereotypes - in thorey I'm Geek (Computers), Nerd (Gameworkshop), Jock (American Football) and a Rebel/Menace (Motorbikes).
