Well if anyone was watching the news this morning.. It seems we've stolen all of their snow
They're having to get it transported in by the tonne from the higher hills.
Did anyone see the High Altitude show last year when Ed Leigh did a skeleton bob? It looked incredible. What a rush. The guy was evidently on the biggest adrenaline rush ever when he finished.
It's a shame to have already had such a tragedy. And for this to happen to such a young man. Breaks my heart.

Yeah.. RIP to a brave soul... and not even in the actual competition.. in practice too.

Perhaps even sadder is that it isn't the first such event and won't be the last. If you take part in risky sports (like car and bike racing, for instance), you take the risk. Most sports are vastly safer than they were, but that's not to say they're safe.
It is also sad to see that the Winter Olympics have already been infiltrated by bad sorts.
To be honest, I believe it's the inclusion of all those little girls in tiny skirts doing ice skating that caused the problem.

Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet intakes.
Did anyone catch any of the footage of the moguls competition? My jaw dropped. I have no idea at all how on earth they can go so fast through a mogul field, let alone do backflips into a mogul field. Just even staying on your feet at any speed while going through moguls is an impressive feat in itself for a recreational skier.
I watched that last night, some super impressive stuff in that Mens Competition I watched!

Sorry, what?
Felt sorry for China and Slovakia's women's teams getting a pelting from the US and Canada respectively. Will get more interesting watching the more evenly matched games.
However, this is one of the best goals I've seen for a long time:
Stunning stick skills from Lamoureux
(and here's a basic guide for newbies)
The cross country is surely one of the most demanding sports on earth. Just watch them all collapse at the end!
