    1Gb/s Broadband in Bournemouth

    http://www.trustedreviews.com/networ...Bournemouth/p1

I want to move to Bournemouth now. £9.99pm for 100Mb/s is a bargain

Why would broadband speed matter at a LAN ?

Crap your right, i meant a local lan section I.E we can setup multiple houses in this area and all use a 1Gb/s connection to make it effectively, a lan for the whole town .

    Re: 1Gb/s Broadband in Bournemouth

Live in Bournemouth and considering the standard BT lines only give 1.5Kbps as standard on ADSL we deserve everything we are going to get.

They are touting excellent progress in conversions but aren't going overboard advertising it at the moment so I guess we will still be waiting several months before we even get a sniff of it in some areas.......ah well, back to the crap download speeds, crappy gaming and the blue loading bar for web pages.......yes, you must remember those....they still exist here!!:

Those 'linux distros' will download in mere seconds now, other uses? ummm, can't quite work out why many folks would want this! (then again, for a tenner...!)

From the comments section of the article:
"...in other news, a rapid rise of NSFW content in Bournemouth is predicted by Top analysts."

I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

    Re: 1Gb/s Broadband in Bournemouth

Virgin Media are going to offer 100mbit 'by the end of 2010' so all is not lost for the rest of us (the ones who can get cable anyway)
