Er, don't think I had to venture into the bios at all, so I don't know.

It better not be password protected mind!

Well as he was able to load into Windows fine the next morning then I would think not

Hmm if I had the money, I would build a small, spare rig, to take just to LANS, so if anyoen did go a bit far with pranks, I wouldnt be so bothered about formatting and stuff.

Depends if it had been set to prompt when starting windows and entering the bios, or just for when entering the bios

Well I know for Seans it was done so that when the PC comes on, it asked for a password before it would let him log on properly.

(I am not guilty, I just saw the screen)

Mine only required a password when I wanted to get in to the bios, but I couldn't boot because of my RAM issue - removed the RAM Modules but still wouldn't boot so needed to get in to the bios but obviously couldn't.

    Once reset it was fine.

FYI - the rules stand for shutting down etc - you don't know what people have running on their boxes so please don't touch without permission.

Personal pranks (gaffer taping, magnets, sausages) are all well and good, but I'm drawing the line at expensive technology.

Wouldn't we all!! But this is why I'm putting these rules in place.

And this is the reason I didn't and won't be attending any LANs..

Matty - This will not be happening, as I wasn't at this LAN I wasn't aware it was happening and will NOT happen again. We would love to have you at a LAN - and I can assure you nothing bad would happen. Don't go getting any knee-jerk reactions.

Anyways, this has been dealt with now, so lets move on... Positive, happy, funloving team that we are.

Seriously, it wasn't that much of a big deal... bar the initial red mist it was pretty funny really.

Certainly wouldn't put me off coming to another LAN, although Az's snooring might!

Besides, GRiD was pure gold... funniest LAN game ever! (might buy a controller for the next lan though!)

helping your woman set gay porn as your IE homepage, changing the logon or just duct taping up a thirteen year old child - fair play.

Passwording a bios - not fair play.

    simples.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)

I went to set my bed up at like 1-2AM and I wondered why the room was totally rammed... with the exception of a nice 8' by 4' gap... perfect for my bed I though.

    WRONG.

Az was next to me... epic fail

    Re: H3XU5.LAN #6 - 5/6/7 March 2010 - Commentary!

Matty it really isnt that bad.

The majority of the pranks only go as far as changing a background picture, basially being hoffed, they shouldnt really go any further next time mate.

Plus, if you get sat on an end, or between tigs and someone else, you wont get pranked, infact there is an unwritten "Do not prank at first LAN rule" so you will be safe.

Matty, you have to remember that the main purpose of the LAN is to meet people, put faces to names and have a good old laugh with people. If you lock your PC, there will be no prankage, if you dont, then you set yourself up for pranking!
