Microsoft in "Buy Office 07 now & ungrade to Office 2010 free" deal

That's right punters, according to blogs.technet.com/office2010 all you have to do is

    • Purchase Office 2007, or a new PC with Office 2007, and activate it between March 5, 2010 and September 30, 2010.
    • Have, or create a Windows Live ID.
    • Redeem your Tech Guarantee before October 31, 2010 by visiting www.office.com/techg.

    Done deal

However, if like me you're already using Office 2007 & have been for some time... tough!

The upgrade is a free online upgrade, but there is also the option for a hard copy on disk. You have to pay Postage and Packaging for that though (im sure you are all aware of the very similar windows 7 upgrade scheme that was offered, and that P&P was charged at around £20 by the OEM manufacturers).

Im not sure if the upgrade disks differ from the 2010 retail version, or if they are the same without a serial key.

im hoping they simply put the 2010 office in the student "ultimate steal" offer when its released as the 2010 beta is fine for now!

EDIT: "Buy Office 2007 Today, Download Office 2010 when available.
    Terms and conditions apply."

Havent got my ac addy yet but i cant see them not continuing the offer
