Many of my favourites already mentioned though. A bit of extra love for Repo Man from me- absolutely belting film, what a shame Alex Cox never made another great film (albeit that I quite enjoyed Sid and Nancy IIRC).

I find a lot of people's choice of "cult classics" kinda weird, most of them are just popular/recent films. Cult classics to me are films that the masses didn't watch but are worshipped for years to follow by select groups for their innovation and willingness to be different. My list would therefore be:

Rocky Horror Picture Show
Clockwork Orange
La Femme Nikita (or possible Leon, although Leon is more popular)
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
