Just thought I would let you lot know seeing as I asked for your advice on my previous test, but remembered the things you said and put them to good practice, thanks guys :)

Congratulations, such an awesome feeling the buzz of being able to drive by yourself after the hard work put into lessons :)
I must say, it's the best feeling in the world when you pass, but I had to put up with the worst feeling in the world twice ;)
I forgot to mention I'd recommend if you haven't got it organized yet pass plus or alternatively making sure you don't tackle a motorway by yourself the first time. It is quite a bit different to your normal road driving. Get some tips from family and friends and make sure your totally confident about about changing lanes. A friend of mine is scared to drive on a motorway (held a license now for about 3 years) and as such is missing out on quite a crucial element of driving in my honest opinion, you'll need a motorway at some point to get places :)
Congratulations! :D
Now don't do something stupid & risk loosing it! I very nearly lost my license once(racing) and it taught me the lesson of a life time! Google 'lost my license' and learn from other peoples mistakes! ;)
Well done mate! It's a good feeling when all your effort finally pays off.
Thank you guys, now just a quick question what is the best first time car to go for.
Reliant Robin... you'll never dare go fast enough to cause an accident.
Well done, be safe now! ;)
Congrats mate!! Now get on dem roads, and have fun!
Congrats ! Now be safe...
Cars depends on budget, but the Fiesta would be fine.
well the budget is around 1000 pounds, and the car I learnt in was a new new model fiat punto so I wouldn't be able to get one of them ;)
Autotrader is your friend for research. I'd put in your price range and see what you can afford.
My first car was a Rover 414 - absolutely great car, I was gutted when it died through lack of use (did me ~ 15k first though, and only cost me £800!). I'd strongly recommend something smaller though, she was a nightmare to park ;) Fiestas and Corsas are probably the most common, but it might be worth looking at something like a Skoda Fabia, which are pretty well built.
I'd also second the recommendation of doing pass plus if your instructor offers it - it can help to reduce your insurance premiums (although it didn't help me because I was over 30!) and it *definitely* increases your confidence for motorways - particularly getting onto them! Having my instructor in the car the first time made me a feel a lot calmer about the whole thing.
Well done matey :) Now you beging to really learn to drive ;)
As for your first car and you can put up with the shape and looks of it then you can't go far wrong with the last gen Nissan Micra. Built like tanks and go quite nicely too. Failing that a Nissan Almera can be had for not alot of money these days and are just as bullet proof as the Micra :)
Well done! Just remember to stick to speed limits etc like glue for the next two years....You don't want to mess up all that hard work :)
Well done on the pass! Best feeling in the world till I remembered I couldnt afford the insurance . Back to you another thing to do is look at what the cheapest insurance is for certain cars and look at them as their can sometimes be a fair bit of difference. Shame the scrappage scheme has probally taken many bargins away from the market to be crushed instead.
Nice one! hope you can afford to run a car unlike me - passed in 2003 and have never owned or been insured on a car or even driven one (on the road) without my instructor sitting next to me. One day.
I have had 4 hours worth of refresher lessons about a year ago because I thought I had a job but I didn't in the end.
Out of my £128.60 a fortnight I save about £20 if I'm VERY lucky if not then I spend it all. It's very difficult to buy tobacco and alcohol and pay my mum for food out of JSA.
