Not really. As long as it is justifiable, employers can set minimums and maximums for things like that.

There are clauses in employment and equal opportunity laws for these cases. For example, in general you cannot discriminate for gender, but you can if the job is of a medical nature and that person is needed to deal with a specific gender as well. For example an employer could specify a male nurse for a testicular cancer clinic. In that case equal opportunities laws do not apply. Or a simpler one, actors :)

Same goes for minimum height, maximum weight, perhaps even maximum height or other physical attributes that would hinder them doing their job. Submariners have a maximum height, pilots in the army have a minimum height as well so they can reach certain things. My better half's brother failed to get into the army air corps because of his short arms (apparently) :)
