Basically I record lectures etc for notes but due to time restraints I am unable to keep up at the minute.
Is there anywhere you can send your recordings and have them typed out accurately for you?
I'm sure some people will see this as lazy but I assure you i'm very busy lately
I have about 5 hours worth of recordings that need done. Im just curious if its possible and how much it costs etc.

It is very much possible, although I wouldn't know what you'd get charged for it in N.I.! peterb is quite right, they're normally referred to as "transcription" services now. I believe the going rate in Manchester is anything from about £20 an hour though: maybe it'd be worth sticking up a poster around (I assume) uni to see if anyone there would be willing to do it on the cheap? Or, as peter says, google / yell.com / yellow pages etc.!

Just upload your audio to YouTube and use their transcription feature... it works really well.

If you've got them held digitally I may be able to recommend someone. If you've got them on tape, I can't.
(I know someone who has an audio transcription typing pool - you email your audio, they email it back transcribed)
