So your mate has been scamming people on eBay and now he has been caught doing it and now he thinks he is going to be taken to court by someone?
As it's an illegal act, and to get caught you have to do it more than once, I'd say yes, he should be worried.
I dont know the ins-outs of what his done. he was selling stuff on Ebay that he didnt even have what he was selling. Someone asked him if he would take ££ for the item emailed him to offer a price and he said yes but only if there sent money into his bank account. so they have. he set acouple of email to the bloke getting his address and stuff though Ebay. Then the bloke emailed him off Ebay with that email address ending in that.. Thats all he told me. i promised i wouldnt say anything but i think he should be worried too.
I told him that i hate scammers (As ive been scammed in the past) and that if he dint get it sorted out i didnt wont anything else to do with him.
Well a muppet gets his comeuppance.
I'd recommend he gets a chain on his door, returns all the money now and reasonable costs as he tries to become a good person.

Tell him to stock up on lube:

Is it true that you should put extra spicy chillies up, you know where, so that when your in prison if someone tries to take advantage of you, they get a hot shock?
If so that is probably good advice too.

If your 'mate' has been selling items he doesn't own, on an auction site, he will certainly be banned from the site, and if there is a suspicion of fraud, the incidence will almost certainly be reported for investigation.
I think your query has been answered - thread closed.
