Im a student, sixth form studying economics/ict/business. If you really want to know what my dad does hes a technical engineer working for X-FAB, or was till they sold the site to the original company which is Plessy electronics or something like that

My Dad was a shop fitter and designer.. and then a lorry driver for Bowyers and then a Caretaker at Amersham and Wycombe College.. and now it happily retired.. as he deserves

My dad is my dad and he used to be a welder, but not just any old welder as he's done deep-sea welding and got the bends a few times from doing this. He's also done work where he was suspended at great heights welding big metal structures.

I do deliveries in a van for a certain business. It's normally to places in the area between Bristol, Birmingham and Northampton, but every now and then I go to Exeter, Manchester, Glasgow, Southampton, or London. I normally do 300-500 miles per day, Monday to Friday, apart from the odd day when there's nothing going on. I've done 30,000 miles since November. I think it costs about £60 to courier a pallet, whereas for a bit more in fuel and wages, I can do 4-5 pallets in a day.

I'm hovering between 20 and 21, I'm a student at the moment (Computer Networking) but I've got a job for when I graduate where I'll be responsible for the IT infrastructure for a local Medium-Sized company...it'll be fun!

My Dad...he's a mechanical engineer-type chap, no fancy degrees or anything, but plenty of experience and an uncanny ability to make things work!
