Was there a massive weight difference between you two?
I'm 6'2" and 17 stone with a 34" waist (my weight is quite deceptive). I'm fairly solidly built (always have been, even as a young boy people where surprised by my weight when trying to pick me up) the other guy was the same height but obviously weighed a lot less. This was a University run club so the instruction wasn't always the best but you better believe afterwards the guy was using the anchor points!
you got to remember that there was also a fair bit of slack in the rope so I could get round the over hang, so by the time the rope became tort I had a fair bit of kinetic energy
I'm lucky that this didn't really leave any lasting effect, I'm still climbing when I can (although normally just indoor walls) and have even got the GF climbing. although her fear of heights normally prevents her from getting to the very top, we're getting there though!
Re: how's your bungy jumping?
Did a parachute jump when i was 21 and as i jumped out of the plane my parachute got twisted (Static line). I got it untwisted fairly quickly and then proceded to land in the middle of a busy road next to the airfield!! They had to stop all the traffic for me to land, plus, i was the only one who had a lift back!! lol
