I think this parking thing is pretty much happening all over the place. The people who park in your road would probs prefer to be nearer their own place but can't. I'd just park where you can, there's no other legal option.

I'm slowly being forced to park further and further away from my house :(
But that's because the roadworks keep growing :D
God only knows where i will be tomorrow, (there's about 5 teams of workers covering the whole village, most of them have already met up to form one huge group, but team 1 are yet to sortie with super-massive-huge-group), at the current rate they will meet up tomorrow so the whole stretch will be dug up.
Leaving me in the predicament of ditching my car somewhere random (by the time i get home everyone else in the village is back so all areas are already taken)
I think i should go tell them to move their cars because i live closer than them...
Oh wait... That would be silly and i have fully functioning legs...
You're pretty much screwed whatever you do, if you just put-up and shut-up then you avoid potential abuse and in this day and age, being stabbed
I doubt any of them intend to cause any grief, but that is the closest they can get to parking at their home.
Think about it, if you ask him to park elsewhere then he moves another street away, same thing happens again, so he moves another street away, eventually they would have to park literally miles away, and get a taxi home...
Surely it is better to have a few people walking and extra street than one person walking a few miles?
Yeah, tough titty TBH. I don't have two cars at mine any more- just lent one of my two to a friend;). One car takes up about 2/3 of the width of my house; my elderly neighbour doesn't have a car so I could usually my park both of mine outside my house without problems if I timed it right. Now I've got one car and I still don't expect to automatically get a space right outside my house. If I have to park it 50 yards down the road it's not really a problem. Annoyingly, I've found that the time I'm least likely to be able to park right outside my house is when I've come back from a booze cruise with a complete bootful of heavy cases of drink, so I have to hump it all three cases at a time 50 yards up the road.
Such is life.
just ask your parents to park on the road whenever they see space. then unless all 3 of you can't find a space on the road (very unlikely), you can park nesr your house..
Not when we know and dislike the family involved, if they hadn't left one car in one spot for like half a year, and if they didn't take the space near my house I wouldn't mind, it's just agravating. Unfortunatley legal.
