    Coins

So cleaning out time and came accross a collection of old coins

Some of them are in perfect condition dating back to 1850

Worth trying to get money out of? I haven't got a clue about this kind of thing but there's like 10-15 going before 1900. They need a clean up too. Copper cleaner do the job?

Don't clean them until you've had some good advice from someone who knows what they're on about.

We don't have any coin-bloke-specialists over here at all

Or just search generally on the internet for coins of the same type. Maybe email some large museums and see if they can give you any info?

i doubt Ebay would give you an accurate price unless you are considering selling them there. I say you would do better selling them to a collector or something after seeking advice from an expert (cointolagist? )

To be honest, it's probably better just to keep them. Even Roman coins aren't worth much unless you find a really rare one.

    Just my 2p worth
