When you first joined the Hexus Massiv', did you feel welcomed? Did you feel like part of the family pretty quickly?
Just wondering really.. Bit random, I know.

Was such a long time ago! I tended to read alot more than post back then but have gradually increased my input over time. I've made a few friends here and there which is great. Although as with all forums there's a sense of underlining hostility in some members posts, replies and so on but that really doesn't bother me.
Just hoping members are enjoying my gaming news and reviews as much as I'm enjoying writing them![]()
One of the first people i saw was directhex, and as his avatar is from MI3, i felt right at home![]()
Nah, not really to be honest. It's just that with a forum like this, it's hard to get your posts noticed. There's so many posters than can write what I want to say with much more grace and detail than I ever could, so sometimes I think "What's the point in posting?" Though, whenever I've asked for help there's always been a bunch of people jumping to help me which I appreciate. I'd say that unless you are a really good poster or are asking for help, you won't get noticed much. That's pretty much the norm with big forums such as hexus.
I did feel welcome yeah.
I came on looking for help with my Abit board and as there was a dedicated forum for abit at that time, it seemed the best place. After that I stuck around and here I am![]()
That's the good thing concerning the user reviews, you don't just get a one off, promotional and slightly biased review. It's good that users have contrasting perceptions of some games, there will always be differeing views, everyone has their own taste and as such can only deliver comments on the impact said game has on them and their experience.
As for the time, I have way too much spare time.
As for the money, well gaming's been my passion and it'll always be put before most things even my other half sometimes xD let's just not let her read this ey.
I think my third post was a tongue-in-cheek request on the Window 7 Beta thread as to whether anyone would like to share their beta key with me. I got stomped on, of course, but not very hard.
I'd say hexus is pretty welcoming once you get your post count up a bit - I think there's a certain hesitancy towards people with lowish post counts because it's hard to tell if they're here for the long haul or for the "20 post - free shipping!!". I've noticed that a few people have joined and stuck around since I joined, so I guess we must be doing something right!![]()
Oh god I've been here so long I can't remember.
I think we try hard to maintain the quality of the genuine members who are here for the awesome community we have here. Trolls are not welcome.
Yes it does take you a few years/posts of hard graft to become a "name" or genine poster here but by no means will we ever try not to be friendly to those who deserve it (read: no trolls)
I joined here back in the day when everyone pretty much joined up on every tech forum going, bittech, OcUK, Blarg-OC. I floated around quite a bit on most of them switching from one forum to another.
I can't really remember if I was made to feel welcome or not when I first joined, but I was when I decided to make this my main tech forumI think Zak set my user tag as "Lurker no more"
I think I'd almost gotten banned by my 10th postbut after that was all lovely.
What was the result ?
