    Apple iPad 32GB (Wi-Fi) £785.99

Looks cool, does cool stuff, but my question to you, the HEXUS masiiv is, is it a justifiable price?

Waiting for the Windows 7, USB & memory card variant that's cheaper and does more.

Re: Right then... Who's going to buy an iPad then?

I'd maybe buy an equivalent if it was cheaper and did a bit more, but I just can't think of anything I'd actually use it for at the moment. I have a dedicated eBook reader (Sony PRS-505) which does an amazing job because it's a "proper" reader with an e-Ink display.

I'm pretty sceptical that this will be a good everyday ebook reader. Battery life on my Sony is measured in days rather than hours. I can read every day for a few hours and get at least 10-14 days between charges (if not more). The iPad will probably do a good job on cookery books and magazines, but I don't really read magazines (that's what the internet is for) or cookery books on a regular basis.

I have a few laptops (12", 15" & 17"), so I'm pretty covered there. It looks like a nifty device, but until I can actually think of something I would use it for, my money would go towards a netbook. Who knows, maybe in the future I'll find a need for an iPad, but for now I'll save my money for something else.

Re: Right then... Who's going to buy an iPad then?

Theres needs to be a 5th option labelled "LOL" .
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Its a case of wait and see I think. Bound to be very expensive over here. Took me two years to get an iphone!

Re: Right then... Who's going to buy an iPad then?

I could easily buy something like this to help me and at work, potentially.

Ie, the price i'll be thinking of is VAT free, and without any income taxation applied.

Even given that, its waaay to expensive. What the hell are they thinking? You can get a VAIO P series, my favouratist portable device ever for that...... (which has a keyboard and much better screen)

If I'm going to buy a portable device that is not big enough to fit in my pocket, then it's going to have a keyboard on, if you're going to carry a bag around, might as well put something useful in it.

    No.

I'm going to wait for the iboard. But if it was somewhat cheaper, I might actually be interested in getting one

Re: Right then... Who's going to buy an iPad then?

Don't realistically see any scenario where I would use one, nor do I have a pocket big enough to carry one around, so no.
Plus, cannot justify the price tag to get it as a plaything / fad gadget - not that I buy those often!!
