The problem is we also know that our Prudent Brown (I honestly can't believe people will still vote for him!) has borrowed in ways which aren't immediately obvious.

US debt is said to be 70% of GDP. But the dollar is linked to oil. Once the middle east decides the dollar is no longer the currency of choice - it will collapse.
UK debt is estimated unnofficially around 1.4trillion but it's not clear. The government wont tell you that is for sure. So some say national debt is 80% of GDP and others say its around 100/105%.
