    writing advice

right, basically the terraced house next door used to be a rented flat and a shop (kevin coopers motor shop) the owner of kevin coopers decided to close this shop down (damn i miss the 30% discount!).Its been a few months now and i thought it would happen, a new businsss has applied plannin permission to setup a pizza store there.

obviously i want to reject this as the noise would go right threw the walls, on the logs it appears that the council like the idea, they said there is ample parking. this is a lie cause.we are on the main road and its almost full by the people living here. the store would have 3 spaces in front of it, they plan to employ 4 people so how is this ample parking?.

basically im wondering what i should start with and how to structure the letter. another point is mc donalds is oppodite the road (i mean across the width of road) and then morrisons supermarket also otherside of our road, traffic got worse when they made that store years back

    Re: writing advice

Start the letter by stating the obvious - you are objecting to planning permission being granted for the pizza restuarant to be built next door. Include the full addresses of the proposed restuarant and your property, include any references they have given on their letter etc etc.

Read through the planning permission notice again and note any points that they make for the plans. you need to go through those points in your letter to them one by one and state why you think they are wrong or why they won;t work etc. and give evidence such as taking pictures or providing records etc. E.g. you talk about there being no parking - go out and take photos of the road when it is full up with cars - say this is what it is like already without the restuarant

Go out and knock on your neighbours doors and find out their opinions. If they are against iut ask if they can be named in your letter and ask them to sign or better still ask them to write their own letters.

Make sure you get all this done before the planning deadline! Good luck.
