I'm impressed how the instructor took it: "accidents happen" :p

Holy crap, how the hell is that possible? It is like that video of the woman pulling out of some gates/car park thing. And somehow manges to partially drive up the gate, and flip over :o

If they roll that easily I am never even getting into a Fiat 500! They must be incredibly unstable...
I knew a bloke who dropped his bike when doing the motorcycle test. Luckily for him it was one of the old-fashioned tests where they stood at the kerb and watched you. he fell off just out of sight, scrambled back on, and managed to successfully complete the test !
Kind of reminds me of this one, not worried if someone tells you your car has been hit by a stone?

Is there a good reason (situation) where the instructor is better off letting the car tip over than stop the car (there is a brake on the instructor side of those cars).
Could've happened too fast for the instructor to realise. Or perhaps the instructor did hit the dual controls, and that's what tipped the car? It sounds from the reports like she accelerated hard while turning right at a T junction - I guess if the instructor then stood on the brakes the wheels locking could've tipped the car, or he might not have had time to get to the brake pedal before the car hit whatever turned it over (although if you look on Google Maps it's hard to see what she could've hit that would flip a car doing the kind of speed you'd go round a corner at...)
