Due to the cancellation of flights I was offered €550 for my return ticket and the remains of my frequent traveller card (worth about €80) so €550 for €260 worth of train ticket.

I heard the Buckfast chap on the radio this morning shouting/slurring "I hate you ICELAND!!!"

on that radar website its amazing to see how nicely the planes are lined up in the south off france

Assuming this continues through tomorrow, we're all set to fly the Cessna to Schipol airport for a fly-by; might never get the chance again! Hopefully the controllers will be feeling friendly...

When I was there 3 weeks ago there where plenty of people flying small aircraft to see the volcano, now given the size of the ash cloud, they might have changed things a bit thou.

Well, work decided today not to let any aircraft out of the hangars today, and any that were out yesterday aren't allowed to fly again until they've been washed. :rolleyes:
